Lobo Builders -- UNM Student Chapter

About: The Lobo Builders is the student chapter at the University of New Mexico that is affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders. The Home Builders Association of Central New Mexico provides students with real world experience through internships with members and networking events that connect students and professionals. The Lobo Builders compete annually on a housing development project given by the National Association of Home Builders. Judging for the competition is held at the International Builders Show where students will compete against other colleges around the country and present their project in front of the top builders in the nation. Current student president of the Lobo Builders is TBD. All University of New Mexico students can be a Lobo Builder! Start building your career with the Lobo Builders.

Competition: The Residential Construction Management Competition (RCMC) is one of the best events at the International Builders Show. Students are given the opportunity to solve construction related problems and compete with other 4 year bachelor institutions. Students work on a management proposal for a specific project that includes a site development plan, product design, estimate, schedule, cash flow forecast and other elements of residential construction. The proposals are submitted to judges chosen by the National Association of Home Builders and students will present their project at the International Builders Show. Students must be undergraduates and an active member of the Lobo Builders.

Accomplishments: The Lobo Builders won Rookie of the year and had a top 15 finish in 2015. Also, in 2018 the team placed 13th out of 35 college-level teams!
